The neighbour

My very first modern project was this T-55. When I started it nearly 8 years ago, I said enough to me about WWII vehicles, for a while at least. Do something easier, like modern tanks. I've never had bigger mistake in modeller world! It started as a quick project and here I am 8 years later still unfinished the beast.
I took of from the shelf again, and this time I try to finish it. Why now, you could ask me? The answer is simple as always to me. I've found a new photo.
So here we are, I show you my reference photos, and hopefully at the weekend I can take some W.I.P. photos. Have a nice days until than.

Ez volt életem első modern harckocsija. Amikor közel 8 éve elkezdtem ezt a makettet, azt mondtam magamnak, elég volt a második vh-s járművekből, egy időre legalábbis. Csinálj valami könnyűt, mondjuk egy modern tankot. Soha nem tévedtem nagyobbat a makettezés terén. Úgy kezdtem neki annó mint "gyors project" és itt vagyok 8 évvel később még mindig nem fejeztem be.
Levettem ismét a polcról, s ezúttal megpróbálom majd befejezni. Miért most, kérdezhetnéd. A válasz pedig egyszerű, mint mindig. Találtam egy új fotót.
Szóval ismét itt vagyunk, megmutatom a referencia fotóimat, aztán reményeim szerint a hétvégén már tudok is posztolni pár építési képet.

I have made some colors inside! Note that I didn't want to make a full upgraded interrior, because you can not see too much when the hatches are open. So I minimalized the art work in it.

Íme néhány kép a beljeséről amit a napokban követtem el. Megjegyzésként megemlíteném, hogy nem törekedtem a tökéletességre, ez csak egyfajta imitáció, hiszen a nyitott ajtók ellenére is csak minimum fog látszódni abból a munkából amit végeztem.

BTR 80 Ukrainian civil war 2014-15

Hello everybody!

It was a bit too long silence in the last couple of month, because of summer, and because of my job in privat life. However I did not stop the modeling, contrariwise, I started a new project. This is a BTR 80 from the Ukrainian civil war 2014-15. Most probably Ukrainian units used and the rebels captured them. As you will see this model is not the usual as I do, no full of P.E., but as my experience shows no need to upgrade this kit. Of course you can swap the hinge if you want, but if you have (and I'm sure you have) some practice you can drill all the plastic hinge. This model goes to the new Tanker Magazine's next issue, so you can see on the photos an earlier stage compared to now. Please note, that the hull and the top of the body is not glued on the photo, and all the spare tracks are positioned by bluetech. I hope you like it, next week I will show you a couple of finished photos ;)

Tudom egy kicsit nagy volt a csend az elmúlt pár hónapban. Ennek egyszerű oka volt a nyár és az hogy a munkahelyemen most két ember helyett kell helyt állnom. Ennek ellenére nem hagytam abba a makettezést, sőt, elkezdtem egy új projecten dolgozni. Ez egy  BTR 80 az Ukrán polgárháborúból. Nagy valószínűséggel ezek az Ukránok által használt példányok amiket a lázadók zsákmányolhattak. Egy kicsit eltértem a szokványos makettezésemtől, hiszen nem aggattam tele réztáblákkal, de ahogy láthatjátok ez a makett nem is nagyon igényli. Nagyon szépen kidolgozott modell. Persze lecserélheted a zsanérokat, de igazából kis kézügyességgel akár a műanyagot is kifúrhatod.
Kérlek vedd figyelembe amikor a képeket nézed, hogy ez egy korábbi stádiuma a makettnek, itt még nincsen összeragasztva a test és a felépítmény, s a láncszemek is csak bluetech-el vannak felragasztva.
Egy hét múlva jönnek a kész fotók ;)

A-10 Thunderbolt II

Hi guys,

Please let me show you my latest work. The HB kit is nice one, but some of the wing surfaces are typically chinese „trademark”, cellulitis-like… I used the Aires cockpit and wheel bays. The former’s fittings are usually poor. But its details are really superb. Other positives of the kit the weapons. We can choose wide scale of bombs, missilles and pods. I used gunze acrylics for the Euro1 camo scheme. The decals are from Print Scale, presenting a warthog from the first gulf war. I hope You like it!

IDF Shot Kal work in progress from Balazs Kobolak

Hello All!

Today I would like to show something different. No, it's not a figure :) My friend Balazs Kobolak  asked me to show you his new build project of a Shot Kal the IDF vehicle. Basically this is a modified British Centurion.
Balazs used Voyager P.E. and Friul for track. The canvas of the gun made from tissue. He already finished with painting, so coming soon the final photos as well, but he wanted to inform you some info about how he made it. So let's see first the work in progress photos.

Ma egy finomsággal készültem. Kobolák Balázs barátom kért meg rá, hogy rakjak fel pár képet a Shot Kal típusú, az Izraeli Védelmi Erőnél szolgálatot teljesített harcjárművéről. Ezek a járművek, erősen átalakított angol Centurion típusú kocsik voltak.
Balázs a Voyager maratását használta, illetve a Friul szemenkénti fém lánctalpát. A ponyva a lövegcsőre zsebkendőből készült. A harckocsi már le van festve, teljesen elkészült. Azonban még Balázs épp cikket ír hozzá, hogy mit hogyan is festett, így arra egy picit még várni kell. No de jöjjenek az építési képek.
